In May of 2012 I contacted Borsello to get help with my backyard. I met Dante within the week and he came to see my yard and look at the issues I had. ( dogs, poor North Wilmington soil and a husband that doesn’t like to do yardwork…) The plan he drew up was lovely. He had me at hydrangea! Dante worked within my budget and he understood that the entire project would be a several year process. He told me that the work would be done by August. To my surprise and delight the work was done in July. We were away on our vacation during this time so my mom came over each day while the work was being done.My mother said that the workers were the most courteous, hard working employees she had ever met. The weather was extremely hot but this did not seem to bother them at all. They answered any and all question she had in a friendly manner. At one point during the project, my mother pointed out that the back steps they replaced weren’t going to be high enough for my dogs to use with the doggy door to the porch. Dante came over to check out the steps and they were able to adjust them so that they were a perfect height for my dogs to use the doggy door.
Another special touch by Dante was that he added sod to an area that had gravel. He asked if they could replace the gravel just to make the project “look complete”. I was happy to let him do that at because it really finished the area.
When I returned from my vacation, I was thrilled with the finished project. The plantings were very healthy and I the yard looked better than I could have anticipated. After a heavy rain, I did notice that a pipe had been nicked and there was water coming in the yard. I called Borsello that morning. By 9:00 I had someone at my house and by 11:00 the problem was fixed!
A year later, I love my yard and can’t wait to start phase 2 of the “Borsello Plan”!
