At the heart of Borsello Landscaping is founder Mike Borsello, whose vision, dedication, and relentless work ethic transformed a modest beginning into a full-scale, award-winning landscaping company. What began in 1995 with little more than a Sears Craftsman push mower, a one-car garage, and a strong desire to succeed has evolved into one of the region’s most respected names in landscape design and outdoor transformation.

From the outset, Mike made quality his cornerstone. His meticulous attention to detail and creative approach quickly gained attention, leading to a growing clientele and increasing demand. With every new project, he sharpened his skills, broadened his services, and carefully built a team of professionals who shared his commitment to excellence.

Today, Borsello Landscaping is proud to be a leader in the industry, powered by a team of nearly 40 talented experts and a 30-year track record of delivering standout results. Mike Borsello

Owner & President

Mike founded Borsello Landscaping 30 years ago, turning a lifelong passion for gardening into a thriving design-build firm. Growing up, he learned the art of cultivating plants from his mother and grandmothers, sparking an early love for landscape design. His journey began with city gardens in Wilmington, where he mastered creative solutions for small spaces. After moving to Hockessin, he embraced the challenges of larger landscapes, deepening his expertise in grading, drainage, and plant selection.

Expanding into Sussex County and opening the Lewes office was a longtime dream, allowing Mike to design low-maintenance, coastal-inspired landscapes ideally suited to the area. When not shaping outdoor spaces, he enjoys fishing with his sons, cooking from scratch, camping, and spending time at the beach with his wife and daughter.

Christina

General Manager

With 22 years of industry experience, 17 of them at Borsello, Christina plays a vital role in managing all aspects of the company. She values the hardworking team and their collective success. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking and video games.

Kimberly

Finance Manager

With over 15 years of experience in finance and landscaping, Kimberly has been overseeing Borsello’s financial operations since 2023. She loves the family-like atmosphere at work. Outside work, she enjoys cooking, dining, and spending sunny days at the beach.

Ben

Director of Sales
& Project Development

With over 20 years in the landscape and horticulture industry, Ben has been an integral part of Borsello Landscaping since 2017. He leads the sales team and ensures projects are seamlessly prepared for execution.

His favorite part of Borsello is the camaraderie, creativity, and investment in hardworking individuals. Ben enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and cheering on Philly sports teams outside work.

CJ

Landscape Consultant

With over 25 years of experience, including 15 years running his own landscaping business, CJ brings a meticulous eye for detail to every project. A John Dickinson High School graduate with a degree in Horticulture, he blends expertise with creativity. When not designing stunning outdoor spaces, CJ enjoys grilling, spending time with his six children, and caring for his two dogs.

Nicole

Landscape Consultant

With a degree from the University of Delaware and further education at Cornell, Nicole has spent 15 years in the industry, 11 of which were with Borsello. She specializes in designing outdoor living spaces and values sustainable, client-focused solutions. She enjoys fine dining, disc golf, and gardening outside of work.

Dan

Landscape Consultant

With a background in sales, real estate, and construction, Dan brings over 16 years of experience in client relationships and project management. A Delaware native and University of Delaware graduate, he understands how well-designed outdoor spaces enhance home value.

Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, playing guitar in his church band, and working on home projects with his family.

Pete

Director of Design

With over 30 years of experience in landscape design and 25 years as a registered landscape architect, Pete leads Borsello’s design team. His passion for craftsmanship and the company’s core values shine through in every project. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, listening to music, and playing sports.

Connor

Landscape Designer

A University of Delaware graduate with a Landscape Architecture degree, Connor joined Borsello in 2021. He thrives on creativity and teamwork, bringing fresh, innovative designs to life. Outside work, he enjoys visiting botanical gardens, cheering on Philly sports teams, and spending time at the beach.

Jesse

Landscape Designer & 3D Specialist

A specialist in landscape design and 3D renderings, Jesse has been with Borsello since 2015. With 15 years in the industry, he appreciates the company’s creative approach to naturalistic designs. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and mushroom foraging.

Conway

Landscape Architect

A West Virginia University graduate and registered landscape architect in Delaware, Conway brings years of expertise in high-end landscape design. Having worked on prestigious projects worldwide, he values Borsello’s quality craftsmanship and passionate team. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and surfing.

Katie

Director of Operations & Quality Control

With over 20 years of experience in customer relations and quality control, Katie ensures Borsello delivers top-tier client service. She is passionate about operational efficiency and project oversight. Outside of work, she enjoys playing competitive billiards.

Gregg

Construction Manager

With over 40 years in the industry, Gregg specializes in carpentry and has been with Borsello since 2019. He values the close-knit, family-like work environment. When not creating stunning outdoor spaces, he enjoys spending time at his cabin in the mountains with his family.

Stephen

Project Manager

A veteran in the landscape industry since 1988, Stephen joined Borsello Landscaping in 2022. His passion for high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail make him a valued team member. Stephen channels his creativity outside of work into music production, painting, and photography.

Chad

Project Manager

Chad has been with Borsello for eight years and has 15 years of industry experience. He loves the strong team bond and relationships he has built. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with family, hunting, and fishing.

Juan

Project Manager

With over 23 years of experience and 12 years at Borsello, Juan takes pride in creating exceptional outdoor spaces. He values the strong team dynamic and work environment. Outside work, he enjoys fishing, biking, and spending time with family.

Haley

Project Development Manager

Haley has been with Borsello Landscaping since 2020, overseeing nursery items and purchasing. With seven years in the industry, she values the company’s family-owned atmosphere. When not working, she enjoys cooking, gardening, beekeeping, and spending time with loved ones.

Shannon

Office Manager
& Digital Content Creator

Hired initially as an office manager, Shannon has expanded her role to include production and digital content creation. A graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Public Relations, she values the friendships and team spirit at Borsello. Outside of work, she enjoys adventures with her family and boyfriend.
